David Siminoff

David Siminoff has spent his entire career engaged at the intersection of private and public companies within the Technology, Media and Telecommunications industries. His career began at Capital Research and Management, where he worked for a decade alongside legendary media investor Gordon Crawford. Siminoff earned accolades for his investment acumen, especially for early-stage investments he made in America Online, eBay, Yahoo, (which became PayPal), and many other high growth Internet companies.

In 2004, Siminoff was named Chief Executive Officer of Spark Networks, the publicly traded parent company of, the online dating service for Jewish singles. After restoring that company's financial health, in 2007 Siminoff became a General Partner at Venrock, the venture capital arm of the Rockefeller family.

In 2009 Siminoff joined Thompson Peak, where he serves as Chief Investment Officer and co-Portfolio Manager. He is responsible for sourcing and analyzing investment opportunities and performing due diligence by interacting with management teams of publicly and privately held companies.

Siminoff is also the Co-Founder and Chief Creative Officer of Shmoop. He was born and raised in Silicon Valley, earned two degrees from Stanford University.
